ANAHEIM, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)—Willdan Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: WLDN) announced today that it has been awarded a $15
million contract with the Southern California Regional Energy Network (SoCalREN) to deliver energy efficiency services
for their commercial portfolio. This two-year contract includes the implementation of SoCalREN’s Small Commercial
Direct Install Program, Food Desert Energy Efficiency Equity Program, and Small Medium Business Energy Advisor
Program. Willdan will provide these services in partnership with three non-profit organizations that support access to
clean energy projects for hard-to-reach communities throughout California - San Joaquin Valley Clean Energy
Organization, Kambo Energy Group, and the Rural Prosperity Center.
“Our commercial portfolio provides equitable, innovative solutions and unique resources that address the barriers to
energy efficiency for small to medium commercial customers,” said Lujuana Medina, Division Manager for Environmental
Initiatives at SoCalREN. “These programs drive meaningful energy savings while expanding access to sustainability
resources for businesses across California.”
“We appreciate this opportunity to work directly for a Regional Energy Network to support many of the businesses who
need it most in this region,” said Mike Bieber, Willdan’s CEO. “This contract is one of several ways that we’re
expanding and diversifying our services for clients who are independent of utilities, such as RENs.”
