Willdan Understands Energy Efficiency

Willdan is a nationwide authority in energy efficiency. We have delivered over 280,000 energy-saving projects, saving approximately 6,800,000 MWh and 110 million therms and securing more than $1.4 billion in utility incentives and rebates for our clients. We understand your facility and energy needs, and we can help you become a cleaner, more sustainable organization while saving money.

We deliver every aspect of an energy efficiency project: pre-project Analysis, Design, Construction Management, System Optimization, and Inspection. Our industry-leading software B3 Benchmarking, NEO, and Energy Design Assistance identify potential energy savings and the most cost-effective path to your sustainability goals.

Willdan has administered over 100 energy efficiency programs for utilities, campuses, and government or public-sector organizations. We provide comprehensive program design, administration, and delivery, resulting in energy savings, improved grid resiliency, and greenhouse gas emission reductions.

Reducing Greenhouse Gases

Our energy projects have helped avoid ~5,400,000 metric tons of CO2 (electricity and therms), the approximate equivalent of*:

Barrels

12,502,100

barrels of oil consumed

Cars

1,146,500

cars driven for a year

Homes

646,600

homes' energy use for a year

Bulbs

205,112,600

bulbs switched to LEDs

The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa

Central Plant and HVAC Systems Upgrade

As part of a national corporate initiative aimed at every property in the Starwood portfolio, the 30/20 By 20 Climate Action and Energy Reduction Plan challenged Westin Mission Hills to reduce its gas and electric energy consumption by 30% and water by 20% by the year 2020. In less than one year, Willdan helped the hotel reduce its energy consumption by 14.6%, or a total of 1,100,000 kWh.

Willdan maximized savings in energy and project costs by recommending a strategic blend of low-cost, highly energy-efficient measures and more cost-intensive measures with long-term operational benefits and by coordinating equipment and installation details to be compliant with incentive and rebate requirements. Willdan helped to secure over $180,000 in utility funding for the project. In 2013, the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa won a Cool Planet Award for their extensive projects in energy efficiency.
