Representative Projects

Morongo ReservoirMorongo Band of Mission Indians, Water Supply & Reservoir — San Bernardino County, California

The water system improvements involved a 1.6 million gallon reservoir, 16,000 feet of 12-inch, 16-inch water transmission mains and two pressure reducing stations. The reservoir was sized to provide fire flow for the new Casino Morongo Hotel/Spa and four other businesses. The 12-inch water transmission main and pressure reducing stations are part of the water system serving the new Wastewater Treatment Plant.

City of Compton, Water Distribution Pipeline, Well Discharge Main and Water Well 19 — Los Angeles County, California

Well 19Willdan prepared PS&E, permitting, bid assistance, construction management and grant administration for this project funded by a Metropolitan Water District grant.

Willdan designed 1,600 LF of 12-inch ductile iron water distribution pipeline and 765 LF of 18-inch HDPE well discharge main on Tucker Street to connect to L.A. County Flood Control District's existing storm drain on Long Beach Blvd. Both the new water pipeline and well discharge main were stubbed up at the site for Extraction Well No. 19. For this well, Willdan prepared plans and specifications for site demolition (including asbestos survey and lead abatement), well abandonment, drilling of a new 1800-GPM potable water well, vertical turbine pump, piping, chemical feed system, grading, and site development.

Metropolitan Water District, Water Savings Performance Program — Southern California

MWDIntergy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Willdan Group, is uniting its water efficiency experience and engineers with Willdan to provide technical reviews and evaluations of Metropolitan Water District’s project applications for process improvements under the Water Savings Performance Program.  In evaluating both the existing and proposed process and system elements, analyzing the soundness of the process improvements, and its ability to accomplish the intended water savings, we provide the best approach specific to each application submitted.  The program is a systemic, holistic method, integrating resources to maximize water savings by increasing customer’s awareness about opportunities and motivating them to take appropriate action under the Water Savings Performance Program.
