Representative Project
Willdan performed civil design, construction management and inspection, and public relations for Paramount's Civic Center, which the Southern California APWA awarded Building and Facilities Project of the Year in 2004.
City of Paramount, City Engineer — Los Angeles County, California
Willdan has been under contract with the City of Paramount to provide City Engineering services since 1978. Over the past 30 years as the City Engineer, Willdan has helped the City improve their citywide infrastructure of streets and landscaped medians, water system, sewer system, storm drain system, street lighting, traffic signals and parks.
In 2007, a Los Angeles Times article lauded the City's success over the last two decade: "Paramount, once labeled among the worst places to live in the nation, scored the second-largest gain in property values of any city in Los Angeles County." It quoted the Mayor pointing to the City's award-winning Civic Center: "This beautiful place sets a tone and raises expectations."
