CPAU supports a variety of programs, funded by public benefit charges, to promote energy efficiency. Willdan Energy Solutions is working with CPAU to support energy efficiency efforts for CPAU’s laboratory customers.

The Laboratory Energy Efficiency Program (LEEP) offers expert engineering, financial and energy analysis support at deep discounts to City of Palo Alto Utilities (CPAU) laboratory customers.

• LEEP's experienced team is available to help customers identify and implement energy efficiency upgrades that will result in energy savings, improved operational efficiency and cost savings. 

• Facilities with at least 50% of their square footage dedicated to laboratory space can qualify for program incentives. The program began July 1, 2011 and runs through June 30, 2014. Please call to determine whether your facility qualifies for the program.

LEEP provides the following services at very low cost:

• Customized energy analysis to determine efficiency of systems and equipment

• Detailed assessment, investigation and recommendations for energy efficiency projects

• Report on reductions in energy, cost and available incentives

• Independent verification of achieved energy savings after installation

• Cash rebates to subsidize the cost of energy efficiency upgrades

2. After providing some basic information, you will be offered a site access agreement that allows LEEP experts on-site to conduct an energy efficiency assessment of your facility.

3. LEEP will walk you through next steps and provide you with preliminary estimates of applicable CPAU rebates that will offset a significant portion of your implementation costs.
